Gazprom says to invest 148 bln rbl in Sila Sibiri pipeline in 2019
MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom plans to invest 147.5 billion rubles in construction of the Sila Sibiri gas pipeline to China in 2019, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The investment will include 117.1 billion rubles to be spent on the linear part of the pipeline and 30.4 billion rubles on the compressor stations.
Gazprom in November increased the 2018 investment estimate for Sila Sibiri to 219 billion rubles.
Investment in the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline to Europe will amount to 53.175 billion rubles and in the Serbian extension of the TurkStream pipeline to 58.8 billion rubles.
In November, Gazprom said that it had adjusted Nord Stream-2 investment plan for 2018 to 92.182 billion rubles.
Gazprom said it will allocate 58.8 billion rubles to designing, construction and exploitation of the pipeline running through Serbia. Besides, a 17.7 billion ruble financing is envisaged to build a transit overland stretch of the TurkStream. Another 26 billion rubles will also be allocated for the project.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller confirmed in January plans to complete construction of the Serbian part of the pipeline in 2019. The 403-kilometer pipeline, whose construction will start soon, will run from the Serbian-Bulgarian border to the Serbian-Hungarian border.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this month that Russia is ready to invest U.S.$1.4 billion to extend TurkStream to Europe via Serbia.
